On the last day of camping with my family this summer we went for a walk along a causeway. We watched as the goldfinches darted back and forth between the thistles. The goldfinch's vibrant yellow contrasted with black markings against a background of pink and purple thisltes sounded like the perfect painting to me so I put brush to paper and created this beautiful piece!
